Summary
They were living together, almost properly. The dingy motel room had become like a makeshift apartment. Yeah, they had no stove or oven or whatever. But Naim worked on his portfolio at the desk while Ryan folded laundry on the bed. They ate frozen meals out of the microwave together every night. They fell asleep in the same bed at night and Naim walked Ryan to work in the morning. It was domestic. Naim wasn’t supposed to get this. He had thought he’d never get this. He wasn’t sure he really had it.

Summary
Every time he would tell Ryan something in that stern voice, Ryan would shrink and give him the most wounded look in his eyes. At first, it made Naim feel bad. But eventually he figured out that Ryan would do it on purpose. He would push and push and do things he knew would get him in trouble. It was like a game, almost.
That was when the thread had started to unravel for Naim. Every kink in the chain was formed by some joke, some misunderstanding that went too far and had Ryan cowering at his feet with that hazy look in his eye.
Almost like a dog.

Summary
They leave Bandee, but Bandee doesn't leave them.
Naim and Ryan can’t leave the scars that the entities have given them behind. They can’t always stop the entities from giving them more. All they can do is learn how to talk about it, even when some wounds go deeper than others.
Or, over days, weeks, months, and years, they open up.

Summary
As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?***
maybe they can outrun it, if he just keeps driving
