Summary
Bella was a Huntress without her Guardian. Alone in the world, but still responsible for keeping the balance and protecting those who cannot protect themselves from the literal monsters hiding in the shadows. There were anywhere between ten and twenty Huntresses throughout the world at any given time. Word got out that one of them was in Phoenix and the monsters came in droves.
After losing her Guardian, Bella moves to Forks for her last year of high school. The last thing she expects to find in this small, rainy town is an enormous coven of vampires. She jumps right into planning the best way to destroy each one of them without getting herself killed in the process. The closer she gets to them, the more she questions everything she thought she knew.

Summary
After their grueling time apart, Edward and Bella's relationship has seemingly stabilized and intimacy is moving in a positive direction... albeit a glacial one. Still, they're on a good path, growing closer and more comfortable after what was arguably Edward's most misguided attempt at keeping Bella safe.
It isn't until Edward catches an unexpected image in Jacob's mind that it dawns on him: Edward never asked about the extent of Bella and Jacob's physical relationship while he was away, or if such a relationship even developed between them at all.
