Summary
He had to break up with Enjolras if there was any hope of Enjolras ever having a normal life; Grantaire was sure of that. What he was going to do with himself, however, was another question entirely, and one he had no answers for. For the short term, his main focus has been to get Enjolras off his mind- and that's far easier said than done.

Summary
“That’s a code orange,” Grantaire said, staring as Bahorel floated over to the bridge to check it. “Immediate return.”
The crew of the Musain rejoins the Corinthe to discover that Enjolras was trapped in an impossible room on an abandoned spaceship for what was two hours to everyone else, and eight and a half months for him. While he was in there, not expecting to see any of them ever again, he wrote each of them a farewell letter.

There's clearly something on Enjolras' mind and Grantaire can't help but worry just a little (there's about a 50/50 chance that this won't bode well).

Summary
"You've had sex," says Grantaire, just to clarify. He gives Enjolras an obvious look up and down, as if he's trying to imagine it right now: Enjolras having sex, Enjolras in the act of having sex. The curve of his mouth gives away his smirk; it's Grantaire though, so his smirk is two-thirds mocking and one-third self-deprecating.
In which Enjolras has sex, has casual sex, and doesn't talk about it; in which Grantaire speaks better through art.

It's been eighteen months since the protest that nearly killed them all, and eighteen months since Grantaire swore off Paris forever. Coming back to town for some friends' wedding was never part of the plan, and Paris is either a dream or an oven, he can't tell which.

Summary
Grantaire's voice curls as though he’s laughing at a private joke. “You seem… alive?”
“Why wouldn’t I be?” Enjolras asks. When Grantaire doesn’t answer, just shrugs, Enjolras finds himself pressing, “Why wouldn’t I be alive?”
Grantaire looks at him directly for the first time. There’s no warmth in his expression, no amusement or affection, nothing Enjolras is used to seeing there. “Why would you be? It’s been four years, dude.”

Enjolras takes a deep breath, and says in a rush, “Would you come with me to Provence and pretend to be my girlfriend so I don’t have to deal with my incredibly homophobic family for a week and subsequently put my head through a wall?”
Éponine blinks. There’s no way she heard that right.

“Grantaire is coming home for Christmas.”
“Mmm," Enjolras hums, all nonchalance. He takes a measured sip of his beer and leans back into the worn cushions.
In another life, Enjolras muses, he could have been an actor or a politician, maybe a spy. His heart pounds but his voice never wavers and his hands don’t shake. -

Summary
The energy was coming back into Enjolras. Grantaire could almost feel it in the air like the dawn chasing away the morning fog. The porcelain was softening back into clay. Not marble. But something softer and more human than that.
Or, the one where Grantaire finds out that even Enjolras isn't free from depression and helps him out with it.
Filled for the Enjoltaire Week 2017 prompt, "Soft." Day #3.
