Summary
One simply goes left when they should go right, on through the heart of the Veil Nebula, slipping between the atoms of supernovas with impossible audacity; or they sneak beneath the layers of galaxies, unseen as dark matter, tug on the right cosmic thread.
Encounter at Farpoint, reimagined; the end is where we begin, and time is simply love's fool.

... doubt that the sun doth move; doubt truth to be a liar; but never doubt I love.
The chronicle of cosmic equals - the sun, after all, cannot exist without the moon... and nor does he particularly want to. (Now featuring gnoll-petting, and a spacey and poetic spin on canon. :))

“Explain to me in which reality that was passing the flour.”
“Can you not see, man, that I’m attempting to craft a masterpiece here?! This is hardly my usual medium, but -”Sometimes, all you want to do is show the people you love when you once had nothing how much you appreciate them, particularly on Valentine's Day.
... Unfortunately, a quartet of idiots suddenly decide that that must mean baking. Which is mildly less of a challenge for one of them, but for the other three...
(Valentine's Day fluff for my two favourite couples. Dedicated to the mad and wonderful EphemeralArt Discord.) -

Summary
It’s three in the morning; he’s exhausted, he’s lost, he’s so desperately afraid he can hardly draw his own breath, and so he begins a simple ritual – anything that helps him stay awake and present, anything that will allow him to keep watch.
It may be night-time, but your sun shall never set, dearest. I’m here.Sometimes, when you're alone in the dead of night and running scared, the best thing you can do is revert to type. The teacher, and his checklist.

Q had been mortal, once.
He'd been scared of thunderstorms, once.
Now, he's neither. But he IS married, and he'd quite like to keep it that way.(Written as a companion piece to the wonderful essence_stealer's 'When I Lose Myself I Think Of You', which you'll want to read first, and as an old prompt fill for 'Thunder!Q and Lightning!Picard.')

As the title implies, quick little Qcard drabbles based on each episode of Picard series two. Cross-posted here from Tumblr, where thesadchicken and I have a little event going on for the season, in case y'all prefer to not deal with Tumblr. (Honestly, mood if so.)
**(Work complete! I did skip 2.9, but I was busy that week and 2.10 made me too angry to go back, so... BUT THE 2.10 FIX FROM TUMBLR IS NOW HERE.)

Summary
Jean-Luc Picard, eighty years of age, had had a lifetime of Starfleet: the academic and the practical, studies and starships, command and helm, ready room aquariums, diplomacy and dashes of ruthlessness; the fates of galaxies in his hands alone weekly… and never had he been so certain that he knew nothing at all.
Humans aren't made androids; a thousand light-years from home, Jean-Luc Picard fully acknowledges why. If only there was someone who could offer him some clarity... or perhaps a hard reboot...
(Written for the Tumblr 'Mon Capitaine, He's Back!' event.) -
The House That Omnipotence Built by celestialwarzone

Summary
In the grand scheme of things, when one considers its owners, the modern house that occupies a suspiciously quiet hillside of the densely populated city really isn’t overly impressive... but, then, that's never been the point.
It's difficult, when one's spent their entire life as a deeply principled mortal, to consider the possibilities of being anything else; two centuries into forever, a former captain begins to wonder if he can ever be truly happy as a being so very far from human.
(My [exceedingly late and somewhat eccentric] entry into the Qcard Big Bang 2019, wherein the author attempts to answer our little corner of the internet's eternal dilemma: just how do we merge the humanity of Jean-Luc with the capacities and lifespan of the Q?)

Summary
“Q, I don’t know you,” Picard began, and the man choked out the bitterest laugh he’d ever had the displeasure of hearing.
“Oh, I wouldn’t be so sure – I’ve been contemplating this for nineteen thousand years, and you’re the first one to ever figure it out. In a race of omniscient entities, that’s fairly damned impressive.”
On a regular mission throughout the outer reaches of the Alpha quadrant, the crew of the Enterprise come across the most astonishing being they've ever encountered - but he's really not in the mood to bedazzle them, nor has he been for countless generations. In fact, he's not particularly in the mood to exist at all.(Alternate Universe wherein everything is functionally identical, but Q never encountered Starfleet in any form. Slow burn Qcard.)
UPDATED, FINALLY. <3

Summary
"But sometimes, mon dieu, all a man wants is a glorified sandwich and a caffeine boost in the snow, in the most beautiful city in all of creation, with good company, a warm overcoat and a classy soundtrack that his ears are biologically configured to understand; sometimes, humans simply need to be."
A Captain and a God walk into a café, and roll the dice on the games of life, love and immortality.
Or, alternatively: 'The One where Picard and Q wind each other up until it all becomes a bit more serious, although it's never quite THAT serious, because that's not how the author rolls.'
