He welcomes death with open arms, the gentleness of smiles and empty eyes. His cold and emotionless gaze makes even death to recoil in disgust, away from the human-looking puppet.

Suddenly, Dazai’s throat is dry, his ears are ringing, palms sweaty in anticipation. Chuuya takes a step forward and puts his hand on Dazai’s nape, standing on tiptoes and leaning toward his ear. The other Chuuya walks around him, pressing his whole body against Dazai’s, hands traveling from his waist down to his hips.
“Do you think you can handle this, shitty mackerel?” Chuuya murmurs into his ear, running his hand through Dazai’s hair, tugging ever so slightly, the way he knows drives Dazai absolutely mad.
Dazai’s breath catches in his throat. Chuuya has always had this ability to render him speechless with his sharp tongue and fervent touch. Now that he has two pairs of Chuuya’s hands traveling along his body, he feels like his brain has short circuited.

Summary
Ah, yes that is the sound of Chuuya’s footsteps coming down the stairs that Dazai cannot see. He’d recognize that walking pattern anywhere.
Even while drugged and half dead, Dazai puts a performative grin on his face, fully expecting some snide remark from Chuuya as he turns the corner where he can see into the cell Dazai is in.
Dazai watches in amusement as Chuuya freezes upon his vibrant blue eyes falling upon Dazai, and the bandaged man grins wider.
Now, all Dazai has to do is get his mouth to function well enough to request Chuuya’s assistance in breaking the manacles. Not that he really needs the help. Yeah, it would speed up his break out, but if Chuuya is in a pissy mood, he’ll make do and break out on his own.
Dazai is not expecting what happens next.

In which BEAST Nakahara Chuuya shows up in a universe where Dazai is alive, and makes it his mission to claim this Dazai as his own, the current Chuuya be damned.
