Summary
Link’s afraid he’s dreaming.
Paradises like this simply don’t exist, and they certainly don’t exist for Link. It’s always ravaged lands and terrorized peoples, and after that it’s a heap of annoyances and tasks to tide him over while he waits for things to get easier. It’s polite smiles and heavy burdens, odd looks of disapproval and summons to the castle where he’s asked to act his best for the upcoming whatever-it-is-this-time. It’s failures at even that little and scoldings like he’s still a child, only worse, because certainly he should know better by now. But he doesn’t, and he isn’t.
It’s not fine white sand and soft, warm sunlight. It’s not waking up to a girl leaning over him, her eyes wide with concern, his face in her delicate hands, and her hair cascading down over his cheeks in shiny red waves. It’s nothing at all like lying there on the beach, dizzy and distant, hazy eyes floating between maybe the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen and the gorgeous bright sky, the shade of her hair, the flower tucked behind her ear, the green palm trees not too far away…
It’s so much color.

Summary
Legend wasn’t sure why he even bothered trying to mind his own business anymore. It had never once stopped trouble from finding him, whether on a cosmic scale or a personal one. No amount of closing his eyes and leaning back against a tree, hands folded in his lap and trying to ignore the squabbling of his allies not too far away, would ever net him any peace. Not even when he was so obviously trying to rest, when he clearly didn't need to be bothered whatsoever, because, inevitably, someone would always come to pester him.
This time it was Twilight.

Summary
Legend had a bad habit of expecting things, and that often ruined his day.
The sudden Lizalfos attack itself had been bad enough, and that was even without mentioning that it had sent his whole brain into disarray. Having sustained an injury to his sword hand was also pretty bad-- made even worse by the fact that it meant he couldn't even cope with the unexpected changes of plans in the battle's aftermath the same way he usually would.
But even in the middle of his spiral, Warriors was still trying to help him with needle and thread and kind words. It was such a nice gesture, and it was made sweeter by just how pathetic the poor captain looked when he got worried.
Legend appreciated it, though.

Summary
Legend had been traveling with the Chain for a while now, and of course they all got along. They shared a spirit, and they were practically brothers. They argued, they play-fought, they teased. Well, they did all that to each other, but not really to Legend, and he knew exactly why. It was because somehow, even the people who shared his soul didn't really understand him, and though he thought they knew that he cared about them just as much as they cared about each other, they didn't.
Alright, fine. If they couldn't see it for themselves, then he'd just have to show them exactly how much he cared, and he'd have to do it in ways they could understand. They didn't speak his language, but he was passable enough in each of theirs that he could say all he had to.
(Although, it was starting to get a little exhausting to keep bridging the gap with everyone else, going towards them but never having anyone to meet him where he was. It was tedious to keep bending over backwards and reaching out, and having no hand to catch his own. It was lonely, to have nobody understand him, not at all, and for him not to understand anyone but for them to all get each other so easily. He was tired. But he'd keep going for them.)Series
