Summary
“What the fuck,” he demands as he snaps the door open, “have you done to my home?”
Tooru smiles down at him, looking as though he is completely unaware and unbothered by the hanging plants attempting to choke him and the potted hydrangeas spouting a noxious purple gas into the air around him.
“Hi, Kou.” There’s an easy grace to his posture—his hips are cocked and he’s swaying just a little with a relaxed curve to his body that matches the smile on his face, smug and completely innocuous all at once. He continues with a lilt to his voice, “Can I come in?” -

Summary
As he takes it all in, Akaashi marvels quietly at the solitude of it all. Every detail feels like it’s been selected just for him, from the sturdiness of the sand underfoot that supports his strong gait as he walks; to the temperature of the wind that makes him cool enough to keep his sweater sleeves at his wrists and not his elbows, but not so much as to make him regret his shorts.
It’s quite the beautiful dream, expertly constructed by whoever decided to give it to him.

Summary
He looks good, knows it too, and Yaku’s immediate reaction is to want to throttle him for it. For all of this—this thing that’s been growing inside his body without his permission for the past six months since he answered the ad seeking a guitarist plastered to a lamppost outside his usual laundromat.
Then, to revoke his membership in this band and drive to the nearest convenience store for cigarettes and beer. Only the essentials to deal with a situation of this magnitude.

Summary
Like clockwork, Kuroo starts out thinking that things are cool and fine between them. Then, out of nowhere, Yaku decides to do something to tilt the world just a handful of degrees to the side, and Kuroo is just supposed to figure things out and adjust to a new reality.
This particular time his life is thrown into disarray, they are a week into summer practices during their third year and Kuroo starts to notice how Yaku takes care of himself.

Summary
“You left me for dead,” Yaku points out, and some deep part of Kuroo isn’t sure if he likes the way he says it like they’re discussing the weather and not like it’s something that angers him. Like the fact that he was in the bathroom, that he is here at all is because Kuroo is a loose end he simply wants tied up and not because he is someone he shares a personal connection with.
Maybe he is a little fucked in the head if he now considers a vampire attacking a human a personal connection.
Maybe he is a little more fucked in the head if he prefers someone to hold a grudge against him instead of nothing at all.
