Summary
Feng Xin isn’t saying anything to explain himself, just pinning Mu Qing to the ground like it’s the most sane and normal thing to do. If he’d wanted to kill Mu Qing he would’ve done it already, so… what exactly is he trying to accomplish?
Mu Qing has a very, very bad feeling about all of this.
This close he can see the drops of sweat covering Feng Xin’s forehead and the slight blush on his cheeks; he can feel the pounding of Feng Xin’s heart like it’s his own.
Then, Feng Xin brings his lips to Mu Qing’s neck and kisses it where bare skin is exposed.
Time seems to stand still.
Or, Mu Qing randomly transmigrates into the popular web novel Tian Guan Ci Fu as a cannon fodder called Fu Yao. He would be much less inconvenienced if only a certain male protagonist didn’t take a sudden interest in him…

“The…Lan sect?” Meng Yao said doubtfully. “Are you sure?”
“I am,” his mother said, her mouth tight. She looked upset, the way she always did these days when he referenced, intentionally or otherwise, the original plan that she had had to send him to join his father, sect leader of Lanling Jin. She’d raised Meng Yao on a steady diet of stories of what his life would be like when his father finally took him back the way he’d promised her he would, stories that had filled his days and nights for years and years and years, and then just last year she’d suddenly stopped talking about it entirely. It was as if the person who’d told those stories had nothing to do with her.
Meng Yao didn’t know what had happened, but he assumed it must have been pretty bad.
“It'll be a good fit,” she added.

The smile comes a little easier. Jin Guangyao tastes this stroke of luck like a sweet pressed against his tongue. Demurely, he says, gently as can be, “How could anyone not recognize you, Su Minshan?”
The man looks at him, mouth opening and closing, a fish-like imitation. He nods jerkily, then shakes his head. “You…you’re really…you are the one deserving recognition. Thank you for accepting my proposal, Jin-gongzi.”
Jin Guangyao smiles slightly. “We’re getting married soon. You needn’t be so formal, Su Minshan.”
Su She swallows, still visibly affected. “Jin Guangyao,” he murmurs softly.
