That begun a while ago. Now Maelle feels bold enough to return home- not alone, not merely visit for a weekend- and find some answers about that night that marked her life. What she doesn't feel ready for is being met with questions she didn't expect and doubts she'd never thought she would have about her own family.
After all, a Painter makes a lot of art when nobody's looking.

Summary
As Alicia entered the Canvas and was dragged into its pre-existing world, Aline took great care to shape the people around her daughter to provide her with a sense of safety, if not familiarity.
During that process, a forgotten fragment, ecstatic at the chance to get to see his sister again, adds his own piece to the story. One he can connect himself to and see his sister with at any time.
As such, Gustave is painted entwined with the leftovers of Verso's soul.
