He flipped it over expecting a perfect grade as usual but when he looked, his heart skipped a beat.
A bright red 95% was laid across the top of his paper.
Riddle’s eyes slowly began tearing up slightly and he did his best to hold back the tears forming. His throat tightened and he could practically hear his blood rushing through his veins.
That overwhelming pit of anxiety hit him tenfold of what it usually felt like.
How could he have gotten 95%? What was he going to tell Mother?
Or Riddle crashes out after getting a 95 on a test (title is from Top of My School)

Summary
Cater knew he’d get in trouble for this. He knew his mother would take their side. He knew his father wouldn’t be home to even try and defend him. But he still ran. His feet took him to the safest place he knew. A spot he hid in all the time when everything got too much.
A small closet inside one of the random guest rooms his parents had for when distant family would come over. Cater knew his mother had forgotten about it and therefore it was safe enough to hide in.
The small boy crawled into the small space and held his knees to his chest. His throat felt tight and his eyes watered slightly. Why was he crying over being called obedient? It was just a simple word so why did it feel like a piece of him was getting chewed up and spit out.
