Summary
Wu SuoWei is an alpha despite the incredulous looks he receives whenever he states his designation. Apparently, his scent, his build is not alpha-like. He scoffs at those comments but they have worn him down to the point of using scent blockers. Going through life as an unassuming beta is so much better, yet his girlfriend of 3 years breaks up with him.
She leaves him for another alpha and then another richer one, Chi Cheng, that seems to want to ruin every opportunity SuoWei has. Well no matter, he can get back at them both. All he needs to do is seduce Chi Cheng. Them both being alphas might pose a challenge, but SuoWei doesn't mind. After all, what he'll reap will be worth it.
Or, SuoWei is an alpha trying to get back his girlfriend by stealing her current alpha. It goes better than expected considering they're both alphas but because of that, they won't last long... right?

But Chi Cheng insists, and as it turns out, Wu Suo Wei was right. The evening quickly becomes uncomfortable, not just because of all the unfamiliar faces, but because so many of them seem far too eager to get close to Chi Cheng, calibrating Wu Suo Wei’s implosion timer.
