“Worked well enough back at the inn,” Zolf manages, feeling as if his vocal chords might give out on him any moment now. “I cook, you do paperwork and berate my taste in literature. With the current global economy, we'll be able to find a place for next to nothing, I'm sure.”
Wilde lifts Zolf's hand and brings it up to his chin, putting his lips against the knuckles. It's not a kiss, but it's also not not a kiss.

Summary
It seemed like it would be normal enough at first, until the stenographer started asking inane things like about Mal’s vampirism and his love life rather than the important work he did at the firm. Between the use of technology, the ridiculous questions, and the stenographer’s… everything, Mal could feel a headache growing and anger rising. He didn’t mean to storm off, it simply happened and he couldn’t bring himself to regret it, even when he peaked back into the room to see the stenographer was still there. Sighing, he carefully crawled across the floor to reach his computer, fumbling around until he managed to end the call. After his goal was achieved, he collapsed back on the floor, staring up at the glow in the dark stars his husband had scattered across the ceiling.
“Oh dear. What’s happened now, lovely?” Ross asked as he came into view above Mal, looking down at him with fondness. “Did you have another row with the computer?”
