There was a time when Zuko truly believed that he would never be happy. When capturing The Avatar and returning home seemed like an impossible feat. When he was adrift on the ocean or starving in the desert or sweeping the floors of a dank tea shop in the slums of Ba Sing Se. When his face was burned by the same hand that used to gently stroke his head and he was banished from his homeland at thirteen. But, after many agonizing years, he learned how to be happy. He let his friends show him the way. At first, the emotion felt almost foreign, and it startled him. He had been living in fear and anger for so long that he knew no other way to be. But slowly, gently, the light filled him up, seeping into his bones and allowing him to become the ruler his uncle always knew he could be, one who ruled with decisive strength and steadfast compassion.

And Alucard struggles to deal with the bloodlust and ambition of the people of Paris.
In times like these, with evil seeping in through every crack and crevice, Alucard has to remind himself who he really is, no matter how painful: a defender of humanity.

Summary

The Avatar is dead.
The war should have ended with Sozin’s Comet. Instead, it became something else.
Ten years later, the Phoenix Empire controls the world through occupation, surveillance, and a system that tracks benders by bloodline. No element is safe. Under the guise of unity, the Empire has begun enforcing arranged marriages between citizens and benders; binding power, loyalty, and lineage into something it can monitor, control, and, if necessary, eliminate.
The resistance survives in fragments. Katara survives by refusing to look back. She does not think about the boy who believed in balance. She does not think about the war that never ended. And she does not think about the prince who chose the other side.
Some things don’t stay buried.
When her name appears on the Empire’s registry, survival is no longer enough. Pulled into a system designed to control power, and the people who carry it. Katara is forced to navigate shifting alliances, impossible choices, and a past that refuses to remain where she left it.

Summary
Katara and Zuko's mission on board The Southern Raiders goes badly wrong, and they are captured and imprisoned in the unforgiving hull of the ship.
Katara now finds herself locked in a small room with a boy that she refuses to trust, and nine years worth of trauma and guilt swimming in her mind. She is resolute in her hostility towards Zuko, but as the horrors of their captivity unfold, an undeniable bond is formed in the quiet moments between their captor's torments.
When they find themselves safely back with their friends on Ember Island, they are both sporting deep scars – old and new, seen and unseen. Katara struggles to reconcile all the pieces of herself and figure out who she truly is. And Zuko continues to battle with his past guilt, and the new guilt that arises from his growing feelings towards Katara.
As their bond deepens – it may be the lifeline they both so desperately need to pull them from the dark waters of their past.
