Megumi was learning to lead the same way that Gojo had – unsteadily, uncertainly, but Gojo was there to guide him. It easy to show him how to test the correct temperate of a bottle - having hurriedly googled it not long after the pregnancy was announced. It was harder to see him exhausted, mussed hair and listless as his baby made their needs known with sharp wails.
Still, he was beautiful. Both of them were. Gojo’s boys, and he absentmindedly ducked to kiss the expanse of his wide forehead.

Summary
In the end, a part of Gojo truly had died that day — perhaps the most intrinsic part, important facets of his identity suddenly obliterated. A sorcerer’s life is shaped by awful, terrible things, rhythmed by horror and interspersed by sorrow, but the nature of this loss is new. It’s the mourning of the self, the one fatality Gojo was never prepared to grieve.
To witness his hurt is both a privilege and a curse.
(Or, Gojo and Nanami in the wake of war, in a kinder (?) world.)
