Right now, Damian is not Robin, and father is not Batman. They're dressed in black suits with gel in their hair and wearing ridiculously colourful ties that Grayson had picked out for them.
Damian is dying, there's no question about it. But as father leans down to place a hand across his pulse, counting the slowly depleting thumps of a heartbeat, his expression horrified, Damian realises he needs to tell his father that Jason Todd is alive. He must.
He absolutely can not die letting Bruce Wayne think he has lost two sons.

Batman realises he can't ever remember the last time Dick waited for his call before jumping headfirst into a skirmish. Well before he turned fifteen, at the very least. A long time ago now.
They're working properly together all of a sudden, listening to each other and waiting for instructions — but for some inexplicable reason, Bruce feels as though they're two completely different people. It is still Batman and Robin, but it's not Batman and Robin.
It's… strange.

Summary
Cass was arguably Bruce’s best behaved child by way of being mostly nonverbal, ruling out the possibility of offending someone, and being well-versed enough in reading people that she was nearly impossible to offend. Bruce wasn’t worried. He had no reason to, up until Cass vanished halfway through the gala.
(Cass has a problem with her hair, and it takes Bruce longer than it should to realize.)
