Summary
The veil separating the spirit and material worlds has thinned in his absence, and on return the Avatar attracts the supernatural like honey attracts flies. Every member of his group somehow lives life with one foot in the material world, reality, and the other in the Spirit World, beyond the veil. Well, all except one, who’s arguably one of the most important and the only reason he’s not still asleep in that iceberg, and another, who’ll never get her chance to truly join him, doomed to die an early death. This changes when Zhao, in a stroke of self-proclaimed genius, decides to kill not one fish, but two.
Or: The one where Aang is the Avatar, Toph is blessed by badgermoles, Suki carries a piece of Kyoshi’s soul, Sokka’s the reincarnation of a spirit of nature and strategy, Zuko’s Sunkissed, Yue basically is the moon spirit, and Katara is kinda sorta sharing a body with La.

Paul really loves his girlfriend Sally. Like, so much. He didn't know he could love a woman this much, and that a woman so lovely could love him back. It's insanely good luck on his part, so much that he wouldn't be surprised if he's spent all of it up.
So really, if you think about it, it's not so shockingly bad when he gets snowed in with Sally, her freshly bought engagement ring, and her son.

Summary
The Southern Water Tribe Genocide (c. 93 AG) was one of the Fire Nations' most egregious crimes, the sole survivor was the chief's only daughter, Katara. Later she'd be known as Princess Katara, Master Katara, and Queen Consort Katara, the storm that ends droughts, helping to bring peace and prosperity to all the world.

Katara is 8 when her life is torn to pieces. Brought to live in the Fire Nation as royalty she learns to live there and accept it as her home, coming to care for the country and its people and even some of the royals she thought she hated so much. But then the Avatar returns and once again, she leaves everything she's known behind to start a new life. As she meets new friends, reunites with those she used to know, and finds new love in old places, Katara must learn what it means to be water when you're constantly changing forms.

She turns to look at Zuko who’s equally well dressed and looks equally done with the situation and the exact same thought passes between them “we should’ve ran away when they had the chance.”
or: Katara wins the last Agni Kai on a technicality and now she’s ruling a nation, Zuko’s nation, to be specific. They don’t know how they never considered peace would be just as hard as war, but now that they’re here...well at least they’ve got each other.

Heroes...were kinda dumb. Midoriya didn't know how it took him so long to realize it but now that he did his faith in them and a lot of other people was crushed. But Midoriya refuses to be all talk and no walk, he won't be a hypocrite, so he gets off his ass and takes care of it himself, a fire fueled by righteous spite burning in his gut. And then in walked someone who needed him, not his persona, him. Then another. Then another. And then, somehow, one more. His house goes from empty to bursting with love. And suddenly, that little bit of hope for the people around him started to grow. Maybe the world wasn't all that bad after all.
alternatively: Midoriya had no idea how the hell he was gonna explain this to his mom when she woke up.
