There was a young girl in Dru’s arms, limbs limp. The first thing he noticed was her hair, the color of butterscotch, almost exactly like his. Dressed in ripped rags and her face all covered in dirt, it wasn’t hard to tell she’d most likely been living on the streets before Dru had picked her up.

So after some of the grand gestures and heroic speeches have been made, the first three statues of Belos have been toppled over, and most of the citizens have gone to sleep regardless of their political sympathies, there has still been a need for a more discreet gathering.
Lilith Clawthorne has proclaimed herself the official scribe, and nobody protested. Why would they, she was made for this job, and she’s an expert at color-coding. Her first decision has been to refuse writing down any of Edalyn’s puns, which is a shame, really, because they’re great, even though they seem to make Raine uncomfortable.
