One of the funniest fics I’ve ever read. Genuinely made me laugh out loud each time. It has been just a treat to read every night this week, not to mention the refreshing use of correct grammar.

Marinette says, "I'm thinking something like… what if you pretend I'm Ladybug?"
Chat Noir stops moving his mouth and looks up at her with dark eyes, through his long pretty lashes. She holds his gaze, and he gives her one slow, thoughtful lick with a flat tongue. It makes her shiver with the sensation, and the new tension in the air. He says, "Are you sure you want that?"
"Yes," she breathes. "…It could be hot."
"It's just - she's somebody I know in real life?" Chat Noir says, propping himself up a little and kind of breaking the mood. "Wouldn't you feel weird?"

Or, Marinette suggests some very specific and self-indulgent sexual roleplay. After some discussion, Chat Noir is extremely on board.

Summary
Marinette never really wanted to be a superhero, for the record, but the choice wasn’t hers. And when she sees a car headed for Alya the day Stoneheart appears, that’s not a choice either—that’s a death sentence for a girl with no powers, just a phone and too much curiosity for her own good.
Marinette becomes Ladybug, and she moves.
In hindsight, Marinette supposes the car crushes her skull, her lungs—something like that. She thinks she remembers hitting the ground, but that could be wishful thinking, the desire for a sense of certainty that will always be out of reach. It doesn’t really matter, as much as she’d like to think so.
The bottom line is that on her first day on the job, Ladybug dies. And then she gets back up.
