Robby looks amused. “Are you going to protect me from bears?”
“If I have to,” Jack says, which is better than the more inappropriate, if equally true, I would take a bullet for you. “So, is that a yes?”
Robby’s dark eyes dart, briefly, to the floor, then back up to meet Jack's gaze. “Do you really want me there?”
Or: Twelve hours after Robby leaves on his sabbatical, Jack’s phone buzzes with an incoming call. Jack spends the next few weeks bullying Robby into staying in his guest room, then staying in his tent, and then just staying, period.

Jaskier craves to have something inside, filling the hollow, hollow gap between his tongue and his palate, and he has often caught himself with things in his mouth, put there just for the sake of them being in his mouth. He’s not sure when this new craving started - it feels like it’s always been there, buried deep beneath. The want - the need - to put something in his mouth, and keep it nice and warm.

Summary
Jaskier is cursed and absolutely certain that he and Geralt are married. Geralt both does and doesn't like it.
It’s happened before: Jaskier cursed by a past lover to experience for himself the ache of unrequited love. Once, memorably, for a donkey, who was impervious to all the bard’s serenades and compliments, and shat on his favourite pair of boots. The irony of today’s particular curse is that Jaskier’s ‘love’ isn’t actually unrequited. Presumably, though, Lady Freckletits and her sister thought it would be funny to see Jaskier scorned and rejected by the stoic, emotionless witcher he insists on following around.
