a collection of poems from around September of 2024 to now. I posted some of these on tumblr or livejournal but a lot of them just stayed in my files or on paper for a long time so this is how i compile them in one place formally. i tried to keep them in chronological order from earliest to most recent but not everything is perfect because of all the different places these were written. each chapter is a different poem and each chapter title is the name of the poem.

"Fuck you! Fuck you Ryland Grace!" Grace flinched away from the other man's voice "Simon I-"
"No! You don't get to call me that!" Grace staggered forward, closing the distance between the two men before placing one hand on Simon's remaining arm and the other hand falling against Simon's exposed teeth, grazing his sharp, mutated fangs. Ryland was trying to show that he wasn't afraid of Simon's deformities, of his scars, of what the eel had done to him. But the truth is, he was afraid. He was afraid he was losing Simon to his own self-hatred. To the ocean his body had left, but that his mind would always be stuck in.

“What’s happening between us-” Simon states, pointing his index finger at his own chest before redirecting it towards Grace’s, pressing into the leaner's flesh with his long, sharp fingernail. “It’s just sex, nothing more.” Grace feels like his heart is being torn in a million pieces. “But what about-” Ryland felt like he was choking his words out through the tears. The same tears Simon used to wipe away. “Two men cannot love each other. It’s just not natural." Simon stated, an air of finality lacing his tone.

College dropout Ryland Grace has been living on the road in his campervan since he stopped being able to cope with his best friend Rocky's long-term coma diagnosis. That was over a year ago. Now he is far too dependent on alcohol and he has a routine for every small town he stops in. Get in. Get a drink. Get out. Don't get attached. Fairly simple, right? Well, that's until he stumbles into Simon during one of his routine, one-time stops in Eden, Montana, and suddenly maybe getting attached to someone is worth the risk of losing them.

Colt was just annoyingly handsome and flirty with you all day. sneaking glances between shots, hovering a little too close when not on camera, winking at the camera before the director said action, rolling his eyes, and mocking Tom when he was being ridiculous. It was intoxicating. Most annoying of all, he kept telling you to switch the walkie-talkie channels to flirt. He had pitched to you meeting in his trailer to celebrate a successful shoot day. Everyone knew you two were close; now, who was aware of the severity of your relationship was unclear, but they would be a fool to assume NOTHING was happening between the two of you.
