Summary
"As much as I love that my kids trust me enough to open up and call my room a safe space, I don’t have a degree in this. "
Somehow, despite always doing his best to make it so, Ryland Grace is always surprised that his students consider him safe enough to open up to and ask for help. He's just trying his best to make sure his kids are alright and happy, and like he says in the book, "they can tell when a teacher actually cares about them."

An unexpected gift from a student takes Ryland Grace on a trip down memory lane, reminding him how far he has come.
This is the first in what I hope will be a series of short, fluffy, occasionally funny one-shots set during Grace's time working at GCMS.

Summary
Chris, as soft-spoken as she was, never missed an opportunity to tell Ginny how beautiful she was as they lay snug against each other. When their breathing became heavier and their kisses more desperate, Chris would murmur words of praise into the pale curve of Ginny’s neck, leaving behind plum-colored marks like reminders of every night spent together.

Summary
Just another Saturday afternoon spent at the batting cages — because the Mets’ star baseball player is definitely going to give his not-son Jason pointers. But in the end, it’s Jason who teaches Whizzer a lesson in what makes a blended family.
—
Whizzer chuckles. “Go take care of your hand. I need that thing later so make sure it’s not broken. Otherwise it’s gonna be a hellish six weeks of teaching you to use your left hand.”“EW GROSS!” Jason drops the bat and clamps his hands over his ears. “La-la-la-la I can’t hear you.”
“He means to write with!” Marvin says, wiping away tears. Whizzer isn’t sure if they’re tears of pain, laughter, or a mixture of both.
