    The bottle landed on Wolfwood. There were some murmurs of excitement and curiosity across the circle, but Wolfwood’s eyes were on Vash, searching his face.

    Vash nodded and mouthed “it’s okay” to him. It was all part of the game, and he was just drunk enough that he could get into it.
    Wolfwood pulled his gaze away from Vash to focus on Nai, and they exchanged an unknowable look. The air became tense, like a silent challenge passed between them.

    And then they were kissing.
