It starts—as most things do—because of Aether. Lumine will forever swear that if it weren’t for her twin’s imminent need to be obsessed with her personal life, she would have never fallen as far as she did.
Of course, Aether likes to swear that if it weren’t for his timely intervention, Lumine would have never gotten herself the “hot evil sugar mommy”.
Which, okay, first off, La Signora is most decidedly not Lumine’s sugar mommy. Sure, she buys her nice things and is infuriatingly helpful in all aspects of life, but only to a reasonable degree. Really!
Anyways, Lumine digresses. It was all Aether’s fault.

Natasha really wasn’t sure how their pointed gun standoff devolved into, well, fisticuffs. There was no real way to put it elegantly, the two of them duking it out in her Budapest apartment with no shortness of violence. She wasn’t exactly sure who started it, the two of them moving in perfect sync like a twisted impersonation of a dance, the sweeping spins and dips replaced with sharp punches and even sharper knives.
Or, five times Natasha almost kisses Yelena and one time Yelena kisses her.
