Summary
In Metropolis, the heart of the city was hope.
It has strong hands, they whispered, and it did. It has a nice smile and a gentle voice, and it smiled and spoke. It cares so much, they said, and so it did, hope a molten metal wrapped around the expectations of thousands of people, breathing life into an unliving concept. Hope had blue eyes and a nice smile and never failed them, always reached them just in the nick of time. And as generations passed, the nebulous edges sharpened with definition—he was always listening, always watching. He helped them when they needed it, from a whispered answer in an exam room to a bullet caught inches away from its target, when they invoked him with the right amount of blind, desperate faith in the unknown—with hope.
In Metropolis, it was hope.
Gotham didn’t have hope. Gotham had something else.

Summary
The shape moves like an oil slick, all serpentine grace as it lightly pushes off from the building it's perched on, big wings tucking in close and body twisting like a cat’s to land on feet and wing-hands on the street below, facing Jason. For one moment they’re eye-to-electric-blue-eye- and then the wyvern pushes up and snaps its wings open again with a sound like a thunderclap. It leaps into the air, beating its wings once, twice, already above the rooftops and gaining altitude fast.
“Wait,” Jason croaks, then yells “wait,” but the wyvern is gone, wingbeats muffled by distance, blue flickers of static trailing through the air from its wingtips and tail. Jason stares up after it and aches to spread his own wings and follow it into the sky.

Summary
Dick Grayson is his soulmate, and Dick Grayson is a liar.
He smiles, and he says everything’s fine, he’s fine. He goes on an interview and talks about bullshit things like being an older brother in a house full of kids, he goes to a Wayne Enterprises party and introduces Thomas Elliot as Bruce Wayne, he goes to shareholder meetings and pretends he doesn’t understand what’s going on. He’s not lying to Jason, but Jason feels it anyway, stinging like snowflakes on bare skin.
(the au in which people can inflict physical injuries on their soulmates by lying to them)

Summary
It isn’t until that night, when Jason is poking at stir fry in a pan that definitely isn’t a wok, that he pulls up the news again and figures it out.
Nightwing had been out in broad daylight, a rare spotting of a strictly nocturnal bird, busting up some minor drug ring. The blue-chevroned blur in the picture has dark hair that is slightly too long, a body that is too short and too lean, although it would take being very familiar with Nightwing to spot the difference. The article is almost pushed off the digital front page, though, buried under the reports of Red Hood’s daring rescue of Gotham’s darling Dick Grayson, who had spent all day kidnapped and definitely wasn’t swinging around rooftops at any point.
“Ah,” Jason says, and tends to his stir fry before it can burn.
(five times jason rescues dick and one time dick returns the favor)

Summary
Rick Grimes is a homicide detective whose life has fallen apart. Shattered by his best friend's death and the implosion of his marriage, he leaves Atlanta and moves back to his childhood home of King County, Georgia, to pin on a deputy's badge and pick up the pieces of his life.
Daryl Dixon is a hunter whose brother and hunting partner got arrested for a murder he didn't commit. Tired of his thankless job, he's content to just coast through his new civilian life, until people in town start dying in mysterious, and familiar, ways.
The only way they're getting out of this alive is by working together.
(a supernatural fusion, of sorts.)
