When Cath and Steve end up in New Jersey after all, three months after they left, they also end up staying with Clara and Eddie Williams. Danny, outraged by the prospect that his parents might get more Steve time than him, flies out to meet them. The fact that he still hasn't told his parents that he and Steve are together, and is not planning to any time soon, should only be a mild hindrance – that is, until Clara and Eddie decide that they're perfect for each other, and enlist Cath to help them matchmake their already very much in love sons. Oh yes, and they’re all living in the same house. There’s shenanigans on the horizon…

Summary
When he's forced to move to Hawaii to be with his daughter, Danny takes the only possible advantage of having to leave his entire life behind, and finally opens his own bakery. Maybe he’s still lonely, maybe his employees, Kono and Chin Ho, keep trying to set him up, but he has a rhythm. He sees his daughter every other weekend, and he works in the bakery the rest of the time. It’s a flat rhythm, but that's fine. He’s fine. At least, that’s what he keeps telling himself – until a gorgeous SEAL gets stuck in the rain outside his bakery....
Steve hasn’t talked to his father for years when he gets the call about the accident, and for good reason. Still, he’s not going to abandon Mary to deal with everything by herself, so he takes the offered bereavement leave and goes home to Hawaii. He’s fully planning to cut and run and go back to his team as soon as the estate's all dealt with. That is, until he gets invited inside Yeast And Sugarcane bakery – and meets a certain grumpy ex-Jersey baker....
