Summary
No, he doesn't mind all of that. He doesn't mind anything right now. Not when he has his hands wrist deep in the dirt in the slightly-shaded side yard, feeling around for leftover roots from the tree of heaven that he'd pulled out an hour ago: cut it down with a handsaw, forgoing the poison that reddit suggested because he didn't want Jee touching it accidentally, then splitting the trunk down with a hatchet so he could remove it piece by piece. Not when he's carefully avoiding the bulbs, the irises and the daffodils, because it's the wrong time of year to disturb them. Not when nobody's looking at him so nobody can see that his eyes are leaking a little bit, because—well, it's LA; they probably need the moisture, even if it is a little salty. No, he doesn't mind at all.
Buck digs around a little. Tommy invites him to leave.

Summary
Buck loves his boyfriend - so much so, he feels a little unhinged about it - he really does. But he has come to a fork in the road of this relationship where he can either a) stay silent and let the horrors plague him indefinitely, or b) politely tell Tommy that his kitchen is where Buck’s culinary dreams go to die.

Summary
He pulls Evan against him and hugs him, and Evan sinks against him, burying his face in Tommy's shoulder. He's not sobbing, but Tommy can feel moisture leak through his shirt.
“He'd appreciate the effort,” Tommy says softly, and Evan's shoulders hitch as he lets out a quick, quiet little laugh. “But he wouldn't want you to torture yourself.”
“I don't know what else to do.”
Tommy hugs him tighter, and Evan's arms squeeze him with equal strength. “This, to start.”

Summary
His first date with Malfoy was a picnic in the North Downs. “I just don’t get why I have to actually go on a date with him,” Harry had argued to Hermione, unsuccessfully. “If we tell people we’re doing it isn’t that enough?”
“Oh, sorry Harry, are we interrupting your busy sitting-around-in-your-pants-feeling-sorry-for-yourself post-employment schedule?” Hermione had asked. “Besides, if you want to be remotely convincing I think it will help if you’ve had a single pleasant conversation with him.”
And so off Harry was packed, hamper in hand.

Summary
It’s been a little over three weeks since he dumped Evan, and in hindsight Tommy could’ve handled the whole situation so much better. They never talked about their long term plans, goals and wishes, or set any specific ground rules for their relationship, but Tommy always assumed they were on the same page.
They were enjoying their time together, for however long it was going to last. Six weeks, six months, a year. But at some point Evan was going to get bored of him, or he’d outgrow Tommy and start looking for somebody else. Somebody with the qualities Evan wanted in a long term partner.
OR: Tommy is a trainwreck. He still gets his man back. (Eventually.)

Summary
Tommy needs a replacement firefighter, and Buck goes to work at the 217. Time passes.
Tommy stares at the list for outside options until his eyes blur but. Nope, Evan’s name is still there on the transfer list, open for filling the gaping hole in…Tommy’s schedule.
Finally fills Evan's name into the empty shift slots, stares at it for a while longer and then bites the bullet. Prints the transfer request and takes it and the schedule over to Melton and slides them in front of him.
Melton reads them and then looks up at Tommy, eyebrow raised. "You want to work with your ex?"

“Couldn't stop thinking about you,” Tommy confesses, latching his lips on Buck's neck, suckling gently so he doesn't leave a mark.
“Yeah? And what were you thinking about?” Buck asks suggestively, his hand traveling to Tommy's ass and squeezing. “Tell me.”
“I wanna ride you,” Tommy says into his ear, making him gasp in surprise. “Wanna ride you into the mattress and show you how crazy I am about you. You had a long shift, I'm gonna do all the hard work.”

Summary
Buck moves in on a Saturday. It’s a small house, but that’s okay. With each successive move Buck had gotten rid of more and more belongings. He doesn’t have much left at this point.
Eddie helps him move boxes and furniture from storage to his truck and from his truck into his new house. With a lunch break, the entire process only takes three hours. It’s all a bit anticlimactic. Eddie offers to help him unpack, since they have so much time, but the idea settles too heavy in Buck’s stomach. Moving boxes is one thing. Moving in is something else entirely.
This is the first place that Buck has ever lived in that he picked out for himself. He’s feeling a little precious about that. He doesn’t want someone else to decide which drawer his utensils should be in. He’s had enough of other people telling him where to put things.

Summary
“We couldn't figure it out, though. We don't have an anniversary for another few weeks, and I don't know if you actually care about a five month anniversary.”
Sal shrugs and smiles, picking up his wine glass. “I just wanted to take my boys out.”
“Told you,” Tommy says to Buck with a grin. His hand squeezes Sal’s again, and Sal picks it up to kiss his knuckles. “He's an old-school romantic, no matter what he says.”
Buck flushes and takes Sal’s other hand with a sweet little smile. “Y-yeah, I'm starting to get that.”
Sal kisses his knuckles, too, and smiles at them. “Yeah, well, you bring it out in me.”
