Summary
The Harringtons in Hawkins, Indiana were supposed to be just a social experiment. Nothing more, nothing less. Just for few months. Debbie Jellisky-Addams couldn't stomach more than a year in that poor neighborhood. But her little son Stephanus fell in love with that city. Neither she, nor her husband Fester understood his desire to stay in that city, but they respected his wish and so Terry, Nora and Steven Harringtons stayed in Hawkins. The richest family in Hawkins had to travel for work a lot and so young Steven was staying there all alone. At least that's the explanation the Addams gave whenever they needed to be more... Addams.

Three metas. Three meta children in his city. One that he’d seen somewhat regularly in galas, and never noticed, and one with wings. He wasn’t sure about the other child’s—Jason’s—abilities yet, but he was certain that he was also meta. Those glowing green eyes—they definitely weren’t natural.
Bruce was pissed that he’d never noticed them before. He was—he was Batman. This was concerning and a major oversight.
He needed to find out more about all the children he’d seen. Immediately.

Batman works alone, and his city is off limits to any and all metas. Unfortunately, not everyone seems to have gotten that memo, since he catches wind of metas running around.
Meanwhile, Tim Drake and Cassandra Cain run after Batman, stalking him; Jason Todd and Dick Grayson are on the run from a company that wants them for their abilities; Damian Al Ghul is being protected by his mother in the League, but she cannot always be there for him with Ra's wanting to use his body.
Batman is finally catching wind of all of them, and his main concern is their safety. The children don't seem to know this.

She pulled away from him with a wink, a sway in her steps as she padded silent through the living room. Peter loved her.
Her father was right about one thing. A woman like Felicia deserved something more special than a ring from Zales hidden away in a cake.
She deserved a proposal as unique as she was.

Wednesday expected Enid to yelp or freeze in shock, perhaps even an astonished scream. What she gets is Enid’s bumbling laughter, almost hysterical in nature. So she stands entirely too still until her friend leans down to hold her stomach and gather her breath.
“Are you done?” She asks after a while.
Enid nods, still having trouble breathing. “Sorry,” she giggles a little and turns her head up to look at Wednesday, the tears in her eyes now made of mirth instead of sorrow. “It’s just…it looked like that was so hard for you to say.”

As the Fire Lord's daughter, and a Beifong, Izumi bowed her head to no one. Every dignitary who commented with a side remark to her father, every councilmember who tried to viscerally tear him down, she would remember their face, their voice, their offense well. Because even if she was just a child, that was just a matter of time not being on her side. And besides, no one would be able to fault her if she told her mom all about what happened.
In which Izumi, Lin, and Suyin are the daughters of the Fire Lord, but the part of them that is Beifong can't be denied (and shouldn't be underestimated).

As a daughter of nobility, Toph knew just how important looks were even if she couldn't give two platypus-bear fucks about her own. To hear Ozai not only maimed his eldest daughter, but purposefully marred her face could only carry one single meaning: to him, Zuko was nothing, not even worthy of being married off in a political marriage.
The plan was always to take Ozai down, but if Toph had it her way, he'd be buried deep in the earth where even the badgermoles couldn't reach him. And as for Zuko?
Well, if no one else wanted her because she was "damaged" goods then it was their loss, because Toph Beifong played for keeps.
