Summary
As her eyes finally began to adjust enough to see, a dim light flickered on, likely triggered by her movement, granting Maelle her first real look at the room. As it flickered into view, a pained, frightened whimper pierced the silence just as Maelle’s breath froze in her lungs. She could only stand and stare, trying to process the horrible sight before her. Abruptly, she was deeply grateful that she hadn’t taken lunch that day. Bile burned at the back of her throat as her stomach revolted and threatened to send its meagre contents back up her throat.
It was a man. Barely. Or the remains of one.
Verso made a choice when he could no longer abide his father slaughtering Expeditioners and his mother wasting away year after year. He chose to return to Lumiere and attempt to aid the Expeditions in their goal directly with his own knowledge. It's a choice he'd come to regret.

Summary
Verso cannot Paint.
He isn’t the original, only a pale copy meant to fill the hole that Verso left and he can’t even do that right.
He can't paint the world for his friends like the last piece of the original Verso's soul does. But he has enough chroma to live forever. It might just be enough chroma to power the Canvas and give his friends the future they deserve, all while fixing the mistake that is Verso's existence.
The people who love him have something to say about that.

All three Eridians clicked in surprise, the third Eridian—Grace nicknamed them 'Mendel'—wobbling on their stool in surprise.
"Light-years?!" Rocky chirped, melody rising. "You lie! Explain!"

Roy refuses to become Kyle's coworker-in-law again again, and he won't just sit back and watch as his friend makes this huge mistake. Besides, the Outlaws are on this planet to find the party behind its recent terrorist attacks; NOT to become side characters in a Jason-Kyle romantic comedy that will, as Kyle's past relationships dictate, eventually take a turn for the tragic.
Or Roy keeps on watching his teammates date Kyle Rayner, and I think that's funny. Here's him going through all five stages of grief while my OTP gets together.

"He allows himself to drink in the rare sight of a relaxed Verso, expression slackened, the tension he is always carrying in his shoulders dissipated. His lips are slightly parted, a strand of hair that has fallen into his face being ruffled with each quiet exhale. Gustave wants to kiss him so badly. Wants to dig his hand into that gorgeous hair, yank him to standing with a tug and pin him against the wall, a leg between his thighs and his mouth against his ear as he takes him apart over and over again."
Verso is determined to run himself into the ground for the sake of absolution. Gustave refuses to let him and uses whatever means necessary to remind him he doesn't have to.

Summary
In a newly restored Lumiere, Verso settles into his new life with Gustave and begins to live again after a century of hardship and sorrow. The path, however is not an easy one, as people come with many different things to share. Most noticable of all is germs.
And Verso, after being immortal, has the immune system of a newborn.
Along with the growing issue of security for the city and feeding the increased population, things are far from simple.featuring - the weather, illness, bad cooking skills, tea!, snuggling, nevron attacks and much more!
