Summary
The gleaming point of Carnistir’s needle winked up from the cloth in his hands, a woefully inadequate wool that was yet the best he had to offer. Warm, and soft, and perhaps, pretty, a deep red, but not anywhere near the quality of clothing that a convalescent required. This cloak would be for later, when Maitimo’s skin was not yet paper-thin and prone to tearing, and the weight of the fabric could be borne without the bowing of his neck or any stumbling.

All is not well in Valinor under the light of the trees but the children cannot be allowed to know that. Alternatively Maedhros embodies the role of eldest daughter, Morgoth is creepy and Feanor is angry and paranoid (but is it really paranoia if people are actually out to get you?) CW for Morgoth

Summary
“Hear me and obey my order, vassals of mine!” The King said. “Cease your senseless fighting, as this feud between Houses will be no more! I, Finwë King of the Noldor, decree that to prevent the chaos that follows you, your Houses shall be united as one through the sacred bonds of marriage! Your firstborns shall be wed and bonded in a month’s time, and they shall bury the strife of their parents through their exchange of life!”
.
.
In which Meadhros and Fingon were forced to marry to end the war between their feuding houses and neither are thrilled with the arrangement.
Maedhros is fearful and suspicious and wants nothing more than to escape his fate. Fingon is hopeful and desperate to make this marriage work. Family feuds are not so easily dismissed. Assumptions and prejudices are not easily forgotten. And love takes years of work before it begins to take root.A tale of animosity, fear and anger, and how it blooms into a love between two unlucky people. But how does one win the love of someone they've been taught to hate?
