Magnus steals a furtive glance at the kitchen making sure his mom and twin are out of earshot. Sloane is too preoccupied with instructing Matilda on how to mix the batter to seemingly listen in on their conversation.

    That was the confirmation that Magnus needs and finally asks, “Can you practice soccer with me?”
