Extremely underrated fic. 10/10 depiction of Dahlia that does her justice in showing the tragedy of her character but doesn’t whitewash it either. It has superb pacing and you feel every murder being a catalyst for her character.

amazing depiction of nahyuta and bby apollo. has a bit more of an edge than what's in canon and in the best ways possible. It makes the AA world feel more lived in but does it without compromising the characters in any way. just love this fic tbh and i've reread it like three times <3

“We've been making him uncomfortable all day,” Dhurke mutters back. “It's not exactly like he wants to see us, much less have us in his home.”
Of course when he sent him away, he knew that things would never be the same again. After so many years, there’s no way things would be the same: but to see evidence of that in his son’s deadened smile and weary eyes is agonising. And now, he's either hiding in the bathroom or has escaped out of the window. Dhurke isn't sure which is worse.
or: dhurke and datz have nowhere to go the night before the civil trial. they stay with apollo.
