Summary
You’ve been dead for a while now. You’ve roamed the silent harbor with your peculiar friend who showed up, unknowing of your past. You, he, and your sheep Friend wander the ghostly shipyard without worry or care. He’s a little spacey too, so you get along well. One day, the mist finally subsides, and you get pulled back into a body that feels too alive, and it scares you. People seem to think they know you, but you get the sense you were never really meant to be here. You have to get back to him. He's waiting for you. You know he is.

DEAD DOVE: DO NOT EAT. This fic is very problematic, please know what you're getting yourself into before you click. It will start off wholesome, but that is a deception. Also, a lot of smut, probably.This is an old fic actively undergoing a rewrite, so please be patient if there are a ton of inconsistencies! This has some questionable writing and a plot that would make a ping-pong ball look like a turtle, but I've written too much of this to turn back now.

Summary
When the forest presented monsters to you as a kid, you were supposed to run, not befriend them, not show them kindness and everything you can lug over from your grandfather's cabin. The forest never forgot you when you left after the summer ended, and every time you returned it was with the care it did not know it could hold. Until you stopped coming back.
When you come back to take your grandfather's place as owner of the cabin, you are greeted with mixed emotions. Of course, you'd forgotten the most important part. The forest never forgot you, even when you did.
The forest wants to play a little joke on you, as payback for your forgetting. It's only fair.
