If only she was not currently third-wheeling a couple of people she'd be hard-pressed to say were her closest friends. Or- just the one, she supposed. Jax was an ex- ex-friend. Big difference. These days they just tolerated each other.
Said ex-friend rubbed at her ankle, divots present from where the pointy ends of Pomni's fangs had sunk into the skin. "There is something seriously wrong with you."
"Well stop putting your filthy paws on me." Pomni sneered. "You've literally got the whole half of the couch to yourself!"
In which a rag doll grieves, attempts to move on, and is coaxed into a relationship like a scared animal.

After that disaster of an adventure, Ragatha finds Zooble at the lake.

Summary
Lingering felt like giving up, felt like she was twenty two looking back at the house as she sat in her truck on the driveway. Maybe it's why she doesn't ignore the barely audible sound of a nervous, scared voice to her right. Maybe it's why her feet move without thinking.
It's tucked into the far corner of a shelf, either the first or last one in the row, and unlike most of the other orbs showing where previous adventures had taken place, this was simply at the big top. Right at the stage.
And someone very familiar was moving in it.
Ragatha finds an orb holding the memory of her first day at the circus.
