Peter looked at his brother as if he were insane. Which he was. Andrey might have seemed ever so much more reasonable, alive, and predictable, but he himself was an embodiment of primordial force. Blind, deaf, mute, possessing only his hands. Only now did Peter fully understand what Nina meant. These hands needed to be guided. These hands needed to be restrained. And as long as Andrey saw in him the supreme power, the only force in the world he was ready to submit to and would never argue with, he had to be that power. Even if he himself didn't believe he was capable of it.
