Summary
The summer before college, Mike and Will move into a tiny studio together, ready to start their next chapter — only to discover their across-the-street neighbor has a very public, very active sex life. Their weekly “observations for research purposes” are all jokes and commentary…until one night the neighbor brings home a man, and something in Mike shifts. Summary
Before Mike left for school the next morning, he looked positively giddy in his new outfit and ‘masculine’ cologne. Karen almost made him pose for a picture because of how handsome he looked, but she didn’t want to risk losing the mom points she’d worked so hard to earn the night before. Karen was really starting to gain confidence in her assumption about it being for a new girl. She was vaguely aware that Mike had a little girlfriend in the past—some puppy love situation—but obviously, he had his eye on someone new now.
What threw her for a loop, however, was when Mike carefully selected one of his new outfits and spent twenty whole minutes in front of the mirror just to hang out with Will.
