“Where am I?”
“My room.” Felix answers, quickly continuing before Dimitri can begin to insinuate anything, “I don’t know how we got back here last night. I just woke up and you were here.”
“I see.” The Boar’s voice is a hoarse whisper, which magically does not grate in Felix’s hungover brain. Or at least, it doesn't until he begins to ask: “Is it possible that we...?
“Absolutely not.“ Felix snaps, rubbing his free temple in hopes that Dimitri takes the hint and stops fraying his nerves.
But Dimitri - as always - does the opposite. He reaches up and grabs Felix’s wrist hard enough to make him wince. If Dimitri’s grip wasn’t so damned strong, he’d elbow him in the nose.
“Felix.” the Boar starts, voice grave, “Your hand.”
“What about it?” he grits out through the throbbing on the left side of his head. But before Dimitri can respond, Felix sees it on his ring finger. The wedding band.

“Felix,” Edelgard’s voice carries across the room as she opens the cage of her next victim, “what are you doing on Valentine’s Day?”
Oh no. "Why do you ask?"
"I'm hoping to ask a favor,” she says, turning her head away from the brown tabby meowing indignantly, and before Felix can begin to imagine what sort of favor someone like her needs and if it would require his knife collection, she continues, “I need you to go on a date.”
Oh. Well, that’s an easy answer: “No.”
Edelgard rolls her eyes and cradles the cat’s head as it gives out an unhappy - and wholly disregarded - yowl. Somehow taking the complaints as encouragement, she plants a kiss on the poor tabby, whose attempts to shrink away are ignored.
“Not for me; for my little brother. He won’t admit it, but he’s lonely. He’s been single for the longest time. He was coming out of a rough patch, but I think he’s ready to be in a relationship.”

Felix does a favor for one of the fellow volunteers at his cat rescue. It does not end the way he anticipates. -
