"It was a winter evening. Snow had started to settle in Baker Street, and outside you could hear the voices of excited children playing with as little there was. In 221-B, everything was unusually calm. You may be wondering how 221-B was calm, the place usually filled with smoke from explosions Sherlock has caused in some of his experiments, violin music played at all hours, or the sound of Sherlock clicking his fingers.
Well, for starters, they didn’t have any ongoing case right now, so Sherlock wouldn’t feel the need to stim as much as he does when he’s in cases. But most importantly, Sherlock wasn’t home.
John wasn’t sure of where he was. When he had woken up, Sherlock was already gone, nowhere to be seen. He tried to call him, but when he did, he heard the ring coming from Sherlock’s room, so he cleverly deduced his roommate didn’t have his phone with him, wherever he was."

Sherlock goes missing an entire day without any clue about his wherebeings. It's really not that unusual for John, but he still can't help but worry. Was it that difficult to just leave a bloody note?
