In an alternate American South that's slightly more magical and considerably more Christofascist, three teenagers end up on the border between Heaven and Earth. Each found their way there fleeing their abusive families, and ran straight into the arms of their God instead, an eldritch horror playacting at being a loving, motherly deity.It offers them escape, and a chance to become one of its favored angels, in exchange for helping it feed. The trio seizes at the chance for freedom and to build a better home than the ones they were given, rescuing other abused kids they know. But the town and church that protected their abusers for so long isn’t keen to let them go, and the kids refuse to relinquish their newfound freedom without a fight–even if it means the end of the world as they know it.

Summary
No More Gods
This was the Lambs promise to themself as they accepted The One Who Wait's offer. No more fleeing, no more waiting to be killed, no more waiting for the lead of another. Gods were not gods, they were mortal like all others. Lune, for that was the Lambs true name, promised this to themself.
Following the story of a blind lamb and all those around them, both past, present, and future. Following the Lamb as they grow in strength and character, following the lowly followers spared by them, and following the Bishops who will soon learn to fear a Lamb with no Eyes.
And of course, finding out what a crown tastes like.
