Summary
Maxine has been dramatic her whole life. Everybody knows this. What they don't know is that, underneath all of the drama she shows on the surface, are feelings that she knows will drive people away if she let them in all the way.
This fic starts out more as a character study of Max, starting at the end of Season 3, but will probably go on to look at other characters and see where the show might take them after everything that just happened.
