Summary
Fourteen years old isn't much of a big deal to most people. But at fourteen, Motoya thinks he's found one, if not both of his soulmates in Inarizaki High. At fourteen, Kiyoomi meets Miya Atsumu and is left thinking of the way Atsumu had beamed at him under the fluorescent stadium lights.
There's a stinging in his chest that he desperately represses far, far down, because for all of Atsumu's grins and eyes that seem to shine, Kiyoomi knows he isn't even a star in Miya Atsumu's entire orbit.
In this world, a tattoo appears imprinted on your wrist on your 12th birthday. Summary
"I'm gonna get the new temp professor to sleep with me by the end of the semester."
For a moment, there is only silence. The next, the table breaks out in various degrees of reaction. On the lowest rung is Kita, who merely raises a brow as he drinks his cocktail. Next is Suna and Aran, who are laughing uncontrollably and sputtering in disbelief respectively. But the most explosive of them all is, of course, Osamu—his gaze positively horrified across the table.
"Of all people, really? You're gonna try to fuck my advisor?"
Atsumu grins. "Yeah, I am." He tips his glass towards Osamu. "So put in a good word, won'tcha?" To be extra insufferable, he winks on the question.
Grad student Miya Atsumu makes it his goal to get in the temp professor Sakusa Kiyoomi's pants before Sakusa departs at the end of the semester. As Atsumu executes his plans of seduction, he does end up getting closer to Sakusa ... just not quite in the way that he'd expected.

Saito nods and taps a finger to her chin. “Ah, so, we’ve got Bokuto Koutarou, devoted to a life with an unnamed individual, Hinata Shoyo, who loves everyone but has his heart set on someone from his past, Sakusa Kiyoomi, who currently cares only for volleyball, and Miya Atsumu, adored by all but loved by none. How interesting! You definitely are a wild bunch of very different people when it comes to love!”
Atsumu’s breath hitches in his throat, and her comment kind of pisses him off, but he tries his best to smile and laugh it off. She says that like he’s unlovable, and ‘Sakusa Kiyoomi, who currently cares only for volleyball’? That seems pretty rude too, he thinks. It’s not like Sakusa’s heartless, even if he is all reserved and stuff.
He doesn’t really listen to much else of what she has to say after that, deciding that he doesn’t really like her that much, and balls his hands into fists in his pockets.
‘Miya Atsumu, adored by all but loved by none.’
