“I’m here for my answer,” Robert said, and Aaron wondered if he intended on sounding menacing. If so, he wasn’t sure it had worked.
Aaron opened his mouth, expecting to finally give in and agree to the job, when his eyes caught on the collar of Robert’s ugly paisley shirt.
“Er, you’ve got some blood on your…” he trailed off, waggling a finger at his own throat. “Collar there.”
Robert pulled at his collar, angling his head to look down at it. “Cut myself shaving this morning,” he said. It sounded rehearsed. As he let go of the collar, pushing it back into place, Aaron noticed a bruise on his neck, purpling and gloomy as the sky behind him. It was just under where the blood stain was, totally hidden when his shirt was in place.

He has a temper. He doesn’t know what is good for him. The past is a fire pit, and Aaron keeps trying to jump inside. He doesn't know how to stop.
Aaron lost his memory. Luckily, he has John, who helps him get better. He doesn't need his old memories. Especially not when a handsome blond man shows up at his engagement party, claiming to be his ex-husband.
