    An Epic Poem, written entirely in the iambic pentameter, telling the story of the events that precipitated the Trojan War. From Paris' birth to the landing of the Greek ships at Troy (mirroring the events and narrative of the lost Cyclic Epic of the Cypria by Stasinus).
    This is the first in what will hopefully be a series of Epics that reconstruct the lost poems of the Epic Cycle, and will therefore be able to be read as companion pieces to the two Epics of Homer.

    This story tells an ancient pre-war story which appeals to the modern audience, over whom global war seems to be looming once again.
    Here are the names of the 12 books of this Epic, 'Dreams of Fire' (also confusingly the name of the first book):

    Book III: The Catalogue of Suitors
    Book IV: Song of Thebes
    Book V: Oath, Alliance, and Games
    Book VI: The End of Heroes
    Book VII: Discord and Judgement
    Book VIII: Trojan Expedition
    Book IX: Calling in Favours
    Book X: War in Thessaly
    Book XI: Ships and Sacrifice
    Book XII: Barricades
