    All three of the brain cells in Theo’s head completely shut off at that moment. His mind went completely blank as he stared down at his best friend, his mouth hanging slightly open again. There was not a single thought in his brain- oh, well- one thought. Theo’s senses all focused on the pretty girl in front of him. The wonderful friend who had been by his side and taken care of him on his worst nights. The one Theo had held the night she came home covered in blood. The one Theo had believed without hesitation when she told him she was a vampire.

    “Yeah!” He pointed a finger at William, then at the phone, whose speakers were still playing a soft tune. “I’ve had this theory for a while that you have a really nice voice, but I’ve never heard it before. That’s the deal I’m making. You wanna see me dance? I wanna hear you sing.”

    William shows Vyncent some of the music he listens to. Just because he has feelings for him doesn’t mean they can’t be friends, right?
