the beginning of the apocalypse is a possibility that most, if not, everyone thinks of occurring at some point. it's only ever a fleeting thought, nothing else. however, you never were the type to expect it to happen before your very eyes - to happen before you've become one with your grave.
your television screen beams with a live recording of what seems to be tidal waves of people, all running rampant in different directions. it makes you question what they're running from, but the camera panning answers that question but breeds a hundred more. the expanse of the sky, once blue, has shifted into a black akin to ink.
where the sun once was is now replaced with the moon but, upon closer inspection, there is a conclave at its bottommost - a series of tendrils crawling out of the gap.
the unknown nature of what's going on brings about a blend of fear and confusion that flashes through you, feelings that you aren't able to process completely before there comes a desperate knock at your door.
