Summary
After Jon is kidnapped by the Stranger, it occurs to Elias that his Archivist might die before his plan comes to fruition. He's grown quite attached to him and really doesn't want to have to start again with somebody ultimately inferior.
And so he comes up with an emergency plan for if it all goes wrong. He needs to get Jon pregnant and create a sacrificial replacement, marked by the Eye from the start and perfectly crafted for the purpose of delivering his perfect new world.
He's also very much interested in the prospect of getting Jon pregnant. Whether Jon wants it or not... and he absolutely does not.

Summary
Martin and Jon are together and perfectly happy, even if Jon does work too much and spends too much time in private meetings with Elias.
It's probably something to do with Jon's Eye powers and nothing that Martin needs to worry about.

Summary
Martin is up late at the Archive a few months after Jane Prentiss leaves him temporarily homeless. It's easy to distract himself with busy work when he can't sleep, but a certain piece of jewelry incidentally catches his eye. By morning, everything has gone slightly funny - his need for Jon is burning in his skull, and what's stranger is that nobody seems to notice him acting out of turn. Or, well, they notice, but... It's as mundane as anything else.
How's a man supposed to reckon with this? How do you handle your boss sitting in your lap as if nothing's wrong?

It's actually fairly easy to manage. Easier than Martin figured it would be, to be honest. Martin just waits until the middle of the night, when he's sure Jon will be asleep in his office and the Archive empty, and creeps in with the syringe of stolen sedatives. One prick, one plunger depth later, Jon is dead still, breaths shallow, and Martin takes his opportunity to haul Jon to a cab and take him home.
Home. Martin's heart swells as he moves Jon onto the bed in his cobwebbed flat. They're home.
