Sethos approaches to eye his notebook curiously. “Haven’t you been working on this draft for like, a week now? When’s it due anyway?”
“A week ago.” A moment of silence. Scaramouche looks over his shoulder, and his nose nearly brushes onto Sethos’ cheek. He flinches back just in time. Sethos’ eyes are wide and mirthful. “What?”
“Nothin’. Didn’t peg you as the type to finish assignments overdue, that’s all.”
“There are a lot of things you don’t know about me,” Scaramouche says, and it sounds a lot sillier than he’d intended it to be. Sethos grins.
“Guess I’ll have to stick around for longer, then,” He presses his lips to Scaramouche’s earlobe, “to learn them all.”
It's a rainy day in Sumeru City, and Scaramouche is learning how to love.

Summary
It's been over a year since he was given the name Wanderer. Reluctantly, he's settled in his new life. It's not bad. As boring as the lectures are at the Akademiya, its easy to fall into the rhythm of classes, assignments, exams. When the new face in town makes it his hobby to bother him, he finds himself less annoyed than he expects. It's almost... kinda cute.
However when he starts to form a cough, everything begins to go wrong. People around him regain pieces of memories that should not exist. It feels like that the simple life he was able to build is about to crumble apart around him.

Sethos screamed.
“No no no please! Please stop! I don't wanna die! Please! No!”
(He showed the paper cuts to the one who favoured him, the one who insisted he call him grandfather, once, cringing at how the salt from his tears irritated the wounds. His grandfather had kneeled from his throne, cradling soft, small hands in his own, observing the object of his hurt with such rigorous attention.)
(And then, he had let go. Stood up. An unreadable expression on his face.)
(“You will have to get used to these, my child”. Sethos sniffled and yet it changed nothing. “You will bear the Glory of Hermanubis, his wisdom, his legacy. These injuries are proof of your status, proof of your destiny”.)

He rested his chin on Wanderer’s shoulder, and he looked at Sethos despite very much trying not to.
He dueled those beautiful green eyes in his mental arena. Sethos’ gentle breaths spread over Wanderer’s face, which did not work in Wanderer’s favor.
He groaned. “Fine.”
When Sethos asks Wanderer to go with him to the Temple of Silence, Wanderer can't say no. However, someone waits for them in the desert...

A quiet chuckle bubbled in his throat, face leaning on the palm of his hand. It was impressive how easily the desert-dweller could switch from his usual vigor to something softer if the situation required it, a tone he had rarely heard before but was starting to be able to count, keep track of. The man blinked, staring at a fixed spot on the wall before shaking his head to return his attention back to the conversation.
“I might have to ask Enteka if she has anything stronger,” he murmured, “I swear this is just making me more tired”.
To this, the Wanderer scoffed and rolled his eyes. “Is your cure for exhaustion willingly giving yourself a heart attack?” And then, after a quick cursory glance of the other as if to make his point, he added - “I’ve seen Akademiya students in their finals more put together than you. Did your pretty little eyes miss out on their beauty sleep?”

Summary
Scara looked back into the house. The group was still gathered, fixated on Tighnari and Cyno. They wouldn't miss him.
He followed the stone path around the back of the complex and raised his hand to shield his eyes when he came around the building. The late afternoon sun was brutal. Not to mention the way Scara could see the sand swirling in the distance, promising a violent storm. Only an idiot would be outside in this kind of weather.
"Tch, what have I become?" he hissed to himself as he crossed the bridge hanging over the chasm beneath Aaru Village. "I'm no bloodhound. So why the hell do I feel the need to track that imbecile down?"
When Sethos leaves the banquet in Aaru Village without saying goodby to anyone, Scara tracks him down to find out why. Once he catches up with the desert dweller, they have a heart-to-heart.

“Why are you always so insistent on following me, you busy little bee?” Wanderer asked, his voice losing some of its original bite. Sethos chuckled.
“I just happen to be drawn to the prettiest flower.” The brunette retorted, shrugging. Wanderer rolled his eyes so hard he was shocked they didn’t disappear into the back of his head.
After the trauma the Wanderer has had to endure, he is prone to chronic pain. He decides to walk around Sumeru City to try and alleviate the agony, but he didn't know he'd run into a certain dark-haired delivery boy.

“Sethos, I want you.”
This stops the desert dweller in his tracks, makes him still where he stood, and Scara is internally sighing with relief. It seemed like these words had finally gotten through to the man who was currently being oddly thickheaded.
Sethos turns his discerning gaze on Scara, and Scara doesn’t shrink away from it; he never has and he never will. He meets Sethos’s gaze head-on, keeping his eyes as vulnerable as he can, hoping he doesn’t have to say anything more, and for a moment, it looks like Sethos has finally understood him, recognition flashing in the emerald shading of them. Then, just as quickly, it’s gone, and Sethos shakes his head slightly, closing his eyes and exhaling quietly from his nose before looking at Scara again. Once again, there’s that trademark friendliness in them, and Scara knows he’s failed once more, disappointment welling up in him.
“Want me to what?”
