King Arthur begins his reign with hope for peace. He strikes his father's magic ban and invites magic users to the castle for help drafting laws fair to all of Camelot's citizens. One of those invitations is sent to Balinor, the man he believes to be the last dragonlord. But unbeknowest to him, Balinor wasn't the last, and Merlin is one of the last things Arthur was expecting.

Summary
Wade looks up at him. He’s gone very quiet, all the sudden, and there’s something grave about how he moves as he drops his sandwich back into the bag and clears his throat.
“There’s something I should tell you,” he says. “It’s very big news for both of us.”
Peter’s immediate thought is that someone has died. His second thought is that someone is pregnant.
Wade does not announce either of those things.
“I’m going to adopt you,” he says, instead.
Peter chokes on his sandwich and then promptly drops it out of surprise. It falls all fifteen feet down to the plastic flooring below and scatters into a dozen little bits of mayonnaise and deli meat.

Wade gets it into his head that the only way he'll achieve narrative stability in the storyline is by taking Spidey in as his adoptive son. He attempts to woo his way into becoming Spidey's new father figure through some deli sandwiches and a rooftop fistfight with a very indignant Daredevil. It doesn't work.

Summary
When most look at the King and Queen of Camelot, they see Arthur and Guinevere Pendragon, the beloved royals that have somehow managed to defy the odds. The nobles love them, the common people love them, and they embody the notion that they are just as much their people's servants as the people are theirs. Court has become far less the place of awestruck fear and iron will, morphing into a sanctuary of sorts where ills can be shared and conversations made. No more do the folk tremble at the thought of being summoned, no more do guard patrols storm through the lower town. Instead, the streets are filled with the merry sounds of everyday life, of market stalls and children playing and fat men watching from their windows as the oldest folk enjoy a walk with their grandchildren. Camelot's center thrives amidst the bounty of the harvest and not a mouth goes hungry as ale flows like rivers from table to table.
In short, they would see a King and Queen of a happy kingdom, and not think to wonder more.
