I was sure I could trust you not to attack me, but here we are after you just stabbed me. Thanks for that, by the way. Is that how you people greet each other nowadays? Casual stabbings to the chest? Jesus. Kinda harsh don't you think? What ever happened to a friendly handshake?"
Valentina wasn't sure why, but his little bit of rambling somehow put her at ease. She felt the tension in her shoulders dim and her breath slowly return back to its normal pace. "Okay, Vampire Kas —"
"It's just Kas, sweetheart," He said, cutting her off with a smirk still on his face.
