Whatever crimes he’s done in reality do not speak for him—or his heart. He gets a second chance of normalcy; or what it might be like when it’s fucked. In his six years as a ranch hand for an undisclosed commercial farm, he’s the de facto veterinarian when there’s an issue with one of the cows. He spends most of his time with the real ones, with what he’s used to when he thinks of milk, thinks of short ribs, thinks of beef, thinks of tallow, and all of that. But this commercial farm houses more than that on the other side of the yard. Across the broken spread where the ranch hands have their own place there’re the Lots. They live in a four floor little building that might be a clever front for a joke, but every occupant is a hybrid between a person and a moo. They’re not exactly like the animals—but they need him too for their health. It’s just difficult trying to treat them. It’s a nightmare to fall in love.
When his closest one is on their death bed if they don’t improve enough by tonight, he wants to treat them well like a man. Or would it be better off if he was cruel. Or even mean. He supposes. His name tonight is Lin Ling. It might be the last thing Nice will call him. It’ll be the last thing he will hear.

Prompt: Freedom and/or Brought Back to Life
Her dream was to see the world.
There was so much of the world she wanted to see. Many people she had yet to meet. Many dishes she had yet to try. Many landscapes she had yet to lay eyes upon. The ocean bordering X City was an ever-present reminder of what she had yet to discover, with its endless deep blue waves stretching past an unknown horizon.
Treeman’s contract was supposed to grant her the freedom to explore.
