Summary
Another day passes, the same as the one before. Another look of disgust, another averted gaze. After a while, being hated gets old. One day though, everything changes when a certain human latches on to Susie and refuses to let go. Suddenly, the days are changing, and things aren't so bad.
With a string of disappearances several years ago, scattered sightings of strange creatures roaming at night, and unexplainable noises coming from the woods, there is definitely something going on in this town. Things seem to have cooled off in recent years, but the appearance of a strange boy has reignited something.
Now, the mystery still remains unsolved, and the wounds left behind remain unhealed, but a glimmer of hope has appeared. Can a rag-tag group of high schoolers figure out the mystery of Hometown, all the while dealing with the pain of the past, and learning to love a little along the way?
Guess we'll just have to make it through another day.

Summary
One year has passed since Sunny's confession at the hospital. He is grateful that his friends have kept contact with him: of course, wounds have not completely healed, and maybe they never will, but they are starting to scar.
However, one day he wakes up back in White Space again. No door in sight, he takes the lightbulb that has reappeared and ends up in Headspace, but that somehow is different.
Soon he discovers he is not alone: all his friends are there and together they must try to find a way home.But self-doubts and old emotional wounds are not so easily forgotten. His friends helped him get over his pain. Now it's time for Sunny to repay the favor.

"Compliance will be rewarded."
Their puppeteer regurgitated this to Kris in their times of rebellion. Their controller repeated this mantra, again and again, whenever raising their blade made Kris sickly and frail. The strings would cut away their will, choke the oxygen from them, until their lips turned cyanotic and their mind would grow fuzzy.
The Dark Worlds fell to their hand; they had power and acuity enough to compact the world into bits for coding and consumption. The driving beast inside of them made them a slave. Their sole freedom was the fading moments of sleep, a biological need overcoming divine intervention. They had. To sleep.
It meant giving up and dangling on the strings of their once-compatriot turned betrayer. It meant being the behaved, pathetic little meager one.

These words were not for Kris. To them, Kris did not subscribe. But their choice was of little consequence at the heels of a beast that never relented. But there was always that light at the end.The light telling them... that those words were not meant for Kris.
